Finally after a year hiatus SouthrnFresh put on their annual show with Southrn Fresh 3 at Jim R Miller park and it was awesome. Also after a lengthy hiatus, Cory's S2000 was finally painted, slammed, tuned, and sorta legal, so it was the perfect combo to take out in the sun and see some cool rides in. I took a ton of pics at the show so click read more to check them out.

Global Rallycross @ Atlanta Motor Speedway!
The GRC circus finally came to A-town and we got some cheap tickets to go and see how much fun we could have. GRC had already been to Brazil, Barcelona, Munich X games, New Hampshire, Bristol Motor speedway and the LA X games. Barcelona had been rained out but I had watched most of the racing from the other events. Of course I am rooting for the Subaru Puma team who have not had a good start to the season. Their cars still look like mine even if under the skin they have been radically modified. Their Youtube series called launch control is also highly recommended. So how did they do? How about Tanner Foust and Ken Block? Read on for the Saucy details

Luke I Am Your Father...NOOOOO
Our good racefriv friend Justin Dennis popped by my house the other day to show off his new FRS (which he has mostly converted to a GT86 now) and I couldnt resist getting a few pictures of our matching 86's before it got to dark. Later on were doing a full review of the cars to stay tuned for that but for now you'll just have to settle with some wall papers I tossed together. So click on the pictures to enlarge them and get yourself a new desktop!!
2012: A Racefriv Review
Man 2012 what a crazy year! I ended the year thinking we could have done a lot more racefriv stuff but once I went back and looked at what we covered we really did do a lot. Our first Formula D events, trips to the Nurburgring, trips to San Deigo, LS1/240 builds, and photo shoots in between. It was a pretty busy year and 2013 looks to be even crazier. So before we get to 2013 shenanigans lets take a look back at 2012!

NOPI: The Revival
The NOPI Nationals... It's an event we've all either been to or heard a lot of wether it be good or bad. NOPI, as everyone knows it, started its shows in 1988. Unfortunately the show peaked in 2008 when the economy went down. Now in 2012 NOPI is hoping to make its big come back. This past weekend Joel and Jose Lopez were able to attended the two day event in Commerce GA. To say the event was great would be a huge understatement.
Joel brought his camera along to grab a couple shots of some of the cars that caught our eyes. Although we were only able to get Sunday morning coverage of the event, the cars definitely didn't disappoint. This slammed Lexus GS300 showed up really early in the morning and drew so much attention, it had a photo shoot with it's own model that evening.
Editors note: For those wondering, Joel and Jose are two new guest contributors for the racefriv blog! They are the owners of these beautiful cars here and we want to thank them for joining us. Welcome to the blog hope you have a lot of time on your hands!

Love, Hate and Slammed: A Tale of Two Brothers
As an only child I always wanted a brother, a brother to blame things on, a brother to help me keep my sanity on family vacations, and now..........I really wish I had a brother to build baller cars with. The Lopez brothers make me jealous, but not for their brotherly love, but for the awesome S2000 and 350Z they have built over the past year or so. So click read more and let me take you on a journey of Love, Hate and Slammed...

Shenanigans with Jeeps!
Every once in a while when the racefriv crew isnt working on drift cars, street cars, or on the blog we like to take a little time off for shenanigans. It just so happens our favorite type of shenanigans is the off roading type. As some of you know I recently sold the suby and purchased myself the all around vehicle, it started with looking for a tow vehicle and ended with an Jeep Rubicon. Of course I wasn't going to purchase something like this and not break it in. So me and our racefriv friend Audet went for a little drive on top of a mountain! Check out the pics!

Petit Le Mans: The Experience.
So Russel, Jon, and I both took a lot of pics at Petit so we decided to split it for two post one being the "experience" post the other filled with all the race porn you could ever hope for. I wanted to do the experience post because there is a lot more to Petit that sitting around taking pictures of cars, which is what everybody normal sees. So I decided to dive a little deeper into Le Mans and show what it really means to go to a race and stay for 3 days.

Turner Field We Missed You, Glad You're Back
Finally our pictures exhumed themselves from the tomb of Russel's hard drive and have come back as drifting pics worth printing out and putting on your next resume. Turner Field holds a special place in my heart and I'm sure a lot of other people, when it comes to drifting. It was gone but not forgotten and now it has returned to the grassroots homeland of drifting in GA. So lets get to it, Turner Field by S2, Round 1!!!

Some are built for comfort, but these were built for speed.
Some cars are built for laptimes, some for gas mileage, some for practicality, but few cars are built for pure joy. Click read more if you would like to peer into the soul of a pair of one of the greatest Japanese sports cars ever built.

Project: Betty White. shoes..omg...shoes
So Racefriv's project Betty White, the little AE86 that could, has finally come into its own. It been a lot of work, too much money, and has taken up way too much time. Still it was worth it by a long shot. I couldn't ask for more, it seems that every time something was improved, it just seemed.... happier. If you dont get that, well you probably haven't ever driven an AE86.

Got Seoul?
Hello internet,
This is Asian Phil again and I would like to talk about my new car, also attempt to give a brief consumer review.
I grew up with rear wheel drive vehicles; I previously owned three Nissan 240sx, from mildly bolt-ons to full blown KA-T SCCA Street Mod race car. My last RWD vehicle was a G35 coupe. When I started racing religiously in SCCA 3 years ago, all I've ever driven were S2000, Miata, Porsche Carrera, M3 etc, I really don't know what to do or even have a small desire of owning/driving a front wheel drive car. Until recently, I almost make a mistake and ALMOST bought a MazdaSpeed3.

If your up to date lets move along to the painting process, which is lot like watching grass grow, except for the insane amount of manual labor thats involved.

Upsidedownland: Australia and the many excellent cars of the land down under.
First things first, I love Australia. Its an awesome place to be. I stayed in the city for most of time but as a whole Australia is the only place Id ever want to live other than the states(for now at least). Its awesome. From the roads to the trains and ferries. Australia made the journey fun and for most of the people who read this, a lot of the time, the journey is the destination.

The Jive Turkey's Tale. Part 3: Frivolousness
Ok guys, it's time for part 3 of the tale. If you missed part 2:The budget years. Click Here.
Ok, so at this point I had a car that every mod thus far had been spec e30 legal, so the natural decision would be to put a cage and seat in it and work on spec e30 racing, so this was the plan.....Until I bumped across this brand new on eBay at a price that was too good to pass up.

Things have escalated...
